Our 48 qt Igloo Ice Cube Cooler DIY home-made fog chiller. It's a modification based on the VORTEX FUSION (google it. it's cool. and it's much easier to buy one). The DIY chillers were produced using modification ideas we threw about and shared on HAUNTFORUM.COM (check 'em out. they're good people) and ice chest cooler ideas that pre-date this video. Using the compact cube shape was my idea. It was interesting to share the modification ideas within a community of Yard Haunters. We don't sell these home-made versions. Neither should you. We give credit where credit is due. So should you. Refer to the dates on videos. The most original hauntforum community modification being the trash bag on the outlet to create back pressure to slow down and spread the fog. The second original idea is the pseudo venturi inlet pipe to create suction.

Simple indoor test results shown. 400W Fog Machine into Vortex-style Fog Chiller made out of a 48qt Igloo Ice Cube Cooler.

A 90 degree PVC bend from 1" under the lid inside to the outlet pipe. 1/3rd inside area Ice Tray. Fog chilled by refrigerator ice cubes. 2/3rd inside area fog expansion area at the bottom inside. Fog into lower expansion chamber for these tests. No weather strip sealing inside chiller lid at this point. No attachments or garbage bag on outlet for these tests. 15 sec Burst. Fog stays low to the ground.

FIRST TEST: 3" air convection gap between fogger nozzle and inlet (2" is ideal). Fogger not perfectly center aligned into inlet pipe. But it works.

SECOND TEST: Fogger placed right up against a psuedo-venturi PVC wye inlet adapter for air convection, instead of the 3" gap. This idea is useful outdoors so the wind doesn't push the fog away from the linlet. the venturi causes fog to shoot out a little more from the chiller.

THIRD CLIP: Fog straight out of the fog machine rises in comparison to using a Fog Chiller.

Note: Google Vortex Fusion for an expensive commercial fog chiller. For DIY information see the 'Vortex Chiller' thread on hauntforum.com. Tell them 'The Fright Zone' sent you. See my other DIY fog chiller videos for my results.
