***SPOLIER ALERT***

Daniel Stern's death scene opens up a huge shootout in this 1988 TV movie. Shot in Honduras, "Weekend War" is a forgotten gem from the late 80s.

The plot concerns a rag-tag group of US Army reservists who are deployed to Honduras to build a runway. After an intervention by the U.S. Embassy, the crew are then sent to a dangerous nearby village to repair a bridge. Directed by Steven Hilliard Stern.

  • Thanks! I'm assuming your grandfather is the actor playing the priest? If so that's awesome, can you share any of his experiences on the film?
