There is definitely a double standard, the "superstars" get away with a lot, including dives. The refs are in awe :), I guess..

The difference is that Pronger's was clearly not intentional! It's obvious if you want the video. Kesler scissor locked his leg, and Pronger was trying to break free, being a little too aggressive, but the people comparing this to Simon are idiots, people just hate Pronger.

There is a double standard, I'm glad you addressed it. The excuse from the league was "Simon's a repeat offender." Ok, so give Pronger 15 games instead of 30. You've got to discipline your guys Colin Campbell.
I'll give you another example. McSorley swinging the stick to the back of Brashear's head, vs. Bertuzzi permanently removing Steve Moore from hockey. McSorley never played again, while Brashear did, and in the other case, Moore isn't playing, while Bertuzzi is. Fair?

thanks for commenting...it still continues to this day! Some Of the calls or non have just amazed.
Ie. Kostopolous hit on van ryn, Even Spezza's spear on a maple leaf player...He got no suspension or penalty.
