"Ancient Towns" are emerging in many urban cities in China. It is a commercial district with modern stores nestled in old style Chinese architecture. You can find international cuisines and local delicacies, and a lot of gifts for tourists.
@shaheertanveerakhan that is true. everything in China is so god damn expensive. America's products are cheaper compared to Chinese products. well.. the ones that stay in China anyway
@carifyme No it costs more than in America. What a coffee costs at a starbucks in Chengdu translates to approximately US$7. And that's not the largest one.
I hope when they ripped down all the hutongs, China beter filled them in with all these beautiful buildings. I know its 'fake' but better than modern buildings.
