@bewstin20 his car is a lot faster than a 13.7@101. this is just a shitty strip with shitty conditions.

Nice. I just ran a 13.9@100 with my 97 4 door M3. All I have is a custom Cold Air Intake I mocked up. Looks good and sounds great

Hi, I am not a racer, just curious. If you unplugged your MAF wouldn't your CEL light come on and then the car would run in "limp" mode, or possibly run "rich" and damage your o2 sensors, catalytic converter, even possibly damage your engine? My MAF does not work and my BMW mechanic is telling to replace it soon as possible or above metioned would happen. What are your thought? Your insight will be helpful. E36 M3 1999, 137,000K. Thanks.

Is the MAF unplugged becuase you're running a fixed alpha-n or S-D map?
Just saying its unplugged is very, very vague to someone who isn't familiar with tuning that particular model and generation

it's a long story that resulted in my car randomly running better with the MAF unplugged. no alpha-n or anything special other than the tune from active autowerks on the original DME. when i first did it to troubleshoot the problems i was having i expected to be in limp mode, but miraculously the car ran better than nit did with it plugged in. strange i know. there's more information on bimmerforums about my particular issue if you are interested - same username on there.

13.7s - That's e46/M3 time, also Vette C5. So, your mods are about ~ $2500 plus weight reduction? How did you loose 300lb??? Do you get better MPG???

Check out my other videos and you'll see what e46 M3s were pulling that same day for comparison. For weight reduction I have my trunk stripped, no rear seats, no front passenger seat, race seat for the driver, and <1/4 tank of gas. I don't get better gas mileage but that is mostly due to the fact that my MAF is unplugged.
