  • Of course it's not warming that's why the idiots call it climate change now. If most the people in the world knew the difference between CO and CO2 they wouldn't get away with calling CO2 a pollutant. This is nothing but phony science and corrupt politicians.

  • LOL! the earths climate works in cycles, some longer than others. for example in the ice graph you sea a cycle of growth and melt. but if you zoom out (and you can blatently see this in the sea level graph) then you see the trends of global climate change.

1998-2008 or 2007 to present is not a great enough timescale to show these climate change effects, at these scales you will only see natural annual cycles. If anything it is handpicking of data, which is decieving people... for shame

  • @terrymorse Actually the truther "community" have always contested that any warming trend is natural. But I don't recall any of us actually conceding the fact that warming is happening. Even in your community they have now been forced to stop using the term "global warming" because it just isn't happening and instead are now calling it "climate change". They predicted that 2011 would be droughts for Australia. So far we've had more floods than we can handle....

  • @GuitarGirlWA The political "audit" of the New Zealand NIWA 7-stations prompted a re-analysis of their data adjustments. The results were the same: New Zealand is getting warmer, essentially the same trend that every other temperature study has found.

Even the denialist "community" has moved beyond the "black is white" argument that there's no warming trend. Now their message is the warming trend is natural. You must not have gotten the memo.

  • @terrymorse and that's why they want to audit them.....

get your head out of the sand

  • @GuitarGirlWA Here's a bit of news: raw measurements get adjusted to compensate for inaccuracies. Then like clockwork, the deniers come out of the woodwork to cast doubt on the methodology, claiming those adjustments are artificial.

Would you next like to claim that satellite measurements of the troposphere show a cooling trend? That would be entertaining.

  • @terrymorse Its hard to discredit? Thats why the New Zealand NIWA was taken to court and proven to have been adjusting figures from 0.006 to 0.9. This is also why a team of scientists and Australian citizens have lodged a formal request with the ANAO to have the BOM and CSIRO audited after raw figures were found to be adjusted by up to 40%. That is also why when comparing NASA's figures with the Hadley centre NASA's results are higher. Conspiracy theory? I don't deal in theories I deal in facts.

  • @GuitarGirlWA Too bad that anecdotal evidence is practically useless. Unless you want to rely on a conspiracy theory, the fact of reported global temperature increase is hard to discredit.

  • @GuitarGirlWA Oh... I forgot the USA also lol

  • @terrymorse No I'm in Australia. Last year Australia, NZ, Argentina, Japan, UK, Europe, Brazil & Africa all recorded record cold temperatures. That's pretty much the whole world. Europe had a massive cold wave that caused the deaths of over 90 people. Argentina's cold snap was so bad they had to import fuel. Africa's cold snap caused much crop damage causing food prices to skyrocket. I highly doubt that global temperatures are up, considering all the evidence of temperature fixing I've seen.

  • @GuitarGirlWA "Here in my state we had the longest cold snap in 50 years."

You're probably in the Northeast somewhere. The North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) has been negative since early 2010, bringing cooler temperatures to the Northeast US. That's a local effect, the global temperatures were sharply up in 2010.
