@roquefort88888 Yes! I agree the Emma Kirkby/James Bowman/Acad. Anc Music version has been the awesome standard for years....however I (and many others) think that the recent Vivica Genaux/ Sabina Puertolas/Les Talens Lyriques is simply the best....an AMAZING! perfomance, probably the best ever recorded....(so far)

Very tough to produce vibrato with right feeling in Stabat Mater. This vibrato means deepest affliction of the Mother, close to cry but preserving her highest humain dignity. I think voices shouldn't simplify these passages, but also have to avoid forcing vibrato. Anyway, I enjoyed this interpretation very much !

Querida Azucena, quizá mi nombre no sea Igor pero con gusto le explico. Esta pieza, al estar escrita por Pergolesi, no solo tiene un significado religioso, sino que también histórico. Esta pieza entonces está escrita durante el Barroco (entre el siglo XVII creo). Las cantantes, como en cada época histórica tienen su técnica. En esta en particular se caracteriza una especie de voz blanca, limpia, no tan engolada y operática como la que conocemos. Escuche a Nuria Rial o a Emma Kirkby ;)
