Warren Buckleitner of Children's Technology Review has a first look at Tag Junior. The size of a fast salt shaker this adaptation of last year's Tag Reading system is designed to help younger children (ages 2-4) get ready to read by letting them "touch and hear" various paragraphs or illustrations in a set of accompanying books.

  • I stand corrected although the process was not available when this video was made. I think this is a smart move by Leapfrog, don't you?

  • The technology is neat...the little mirror reflects dots into the "pen" IRDs is the technology. ITs not actually "reading" it is recognizing what you've downloaded to it!

  • I have actually! ^_^ I can't link you. But you just go to "Audio Downloads" and scroll ALLLL the way to the bottom- on the right click the little picture of the Tag Junior book pal and download the Junior audio from there. ^_^

  • Not according to Leapfrog. Have you done it?

  • i REALLY want one ... any more reviews on it?? is it really a really good product??

  • There is one falsehood at the end- It *is* compatible with Tag, but you have to download the Junior audio to your Tag first. :)
