  • I think its was Barman the Birdie

  • Too bad we are not alowed to do that anymore. Bloody OH&S Still atleast we can still jump off the boat deck's. Never see any swimex vids do ya?

  • im not sure ive got any videos of the swim ex's because i was always first in the water and last out on the good ship. so not sure. I remember one time (at band camp) swim ex was called and in we jumped, the ship hadnt completely stopped and neither was the RHIB in the water. the ship sailed a little bit away but luckily i had my inflatable garfeild to keep me afloat.

    those were to good years.

  • Chewie... just because your the person who misses out on such a great occasion, dont try to spoil the fun for the men and women who serve this fine country and have fun, in a very safe and controlled manner. thanks for viewing.

  • @hoopsnake22 I remember my Dads story from when he was a Roulette pilot when they canceled a display over Avalon "due team injury". Apparently mess rugby can be dangerous, he said OC of RAAF Sale had a dislocated elbow, one of the team had a cast on his nose and the enlisted ground guys were too hungover to stand let alone start a plane. Enjoy your time mate and thanks for being out there and more importantly - having fun!

  • BTW, thumbs up if you remember the Good Ol' Days before Politically Correct Bull**** ruined the world. This stunt ain't PC, but dddaaammmnnn, it's fun!

  • We had some damn fool (his own words) do this once back when I was in the USN, and he insisted we play over the boom box rig we had on the fantail (steel beach picnic in process) The Rolling Stones "Satisfaction." I think Mac had seen Apocalypse Now about 3 dozen times too many. :-)

  • my chief tried that on FGS Rommel, but the old DDG wasn't fast enough

  • wheres the frigate sucker?

  • it was winks ... ( winkler) 723 sqn

  • full power trials are boring otherwise

  • Na nobody can sue. Its all at own risk but nobody is that stupid that someone gets hurt. Usually a footy or something makes it into the water. Its a load of fun and so clear. The Navy just pus some images of a swimex up on the website under hmas sydney images section. Rib is for emergency's and a little fun to.

  • Na only if you feel like it. Its just a bit of fun.
