  • Thanks Shawn for your tutorials, very instructive and easy to understand

  • Shawn, the forward press with your leg helps alot. I manipulate that action on my backswing and the top of the swing in order for my legs to drive first, then the rest follows. It almost looks like I'm doing a Merengue Dance. I definitely see a more penetrating and consistent ball flight (mostly a baby draw) with the addition of the arms and club are moving freely due to the gravity video you taught. Now I also know the distance each club produces. Thanks and hope to see you in Golf Channel.

  • @BradMilligan What is wrong with this release? Nothing! Impact is such a blur anyways that you don't see it as your focus is out to the picture of the flight and the feel of the release into that picture which feels like a baseball snap or a fishing cast in that direction; see my latest on focus called "listen for Focus; shawn clement" Shawn

  • @clemshaw Thanks for the feedback. I've seen the videos you recommend more than once each and really enjoy them all. Could I upload my swing for you to take a look at?. I'm trying to apply most of your fundamentals, but I can't seem to consistently release to the target without the head/neck rotation, similar to that of Duval, Sorenstam and Bob May. I find it helps me shallow out through impact more consistently and allows me to keep turning well after contact is made. Thanks

  • @BradMilligan What you will notice about Duval and Annika is that their head tilt is still away from the target as they turn through; this is what allows them to still release out towards the target and not into the ground; I did talk about this in one of my tilt videos at one point but forgot which one...(Tilted Spiral; Braced Tilt; Tilted twirl) See also my "throwing the club; shawn Clement" video; as long as you can deliver the action to your target and not default to the ball; Shawn

  • @rahickey002 Shawn, do you have any thoughts on this? It seems to rotate in the downswing well before impact rahickey.

  • @BradMilligan I can not speak for David Duval , but Annika has responded to the question of her head rotation in many of her interviews. The head rotation does not occur during the backswing nor the downswing. Annika ingrained this move into her swing at a very early age. It was reccomended to her, by her teacher, as an aid to complete her body rotation to a full finish position.

  • Great video. Are you familiar with the Tour Tempo sound system which is based on the notion that for full swings the backswing is 3 times as long as the downswing to impact and for short shots including putting the backswing is 2 times as long as the downswing to impact? If yes, what do you think of it? How does you method of teaching rhythm differ from the Tour Tempo people?

  • Happy Holidays to you and yours Shawn!

  • what's the song called?
