You know how racists or other bullies/thugs can appear on online forums, chat rooms and stuff and full out attack other ppl? It is only because of the shield of anonymity and the suspension of personal responsibility that this is possible. That exact psychological justification is used in police forces, military etc. DEINDIVIDUATION kills self responsibility and turns the individual into a conscienceless animal. Recall Nazis, WWII.
