I Wish I Could Just Say It- Chapter 43

Ahhh! I can;t believe it;s chapter 43!

***Imagine the note being read by Sam**
Dear Drew,
I know I;ve been a real jerk lately, and I;m sorry. The only reason I acted this way was because I care about you, and I think I might love you. Ever since you started going out with Chrissy, my heart has been broken, and I guess it will never be fixed. Every moment I;ve spent with you, good and bad, I will miss. But this is it Drew. This is the end. Have a nice life, I;m sorry I ruined the beginning of it, but you won;t have to worry about me anymore.

Drew: *silently crying* Oh my god, oh my god.
Paramedic: Are you ok, kid? Don;t worry, we;re almost to the hospital.
Drew: *thinking* That girl really does love me. I caused her to do this. Oh my god. What have I done?

The arrived at the hospital. Sam was rushed into a room. Andrew was unsure of where to go. So he just waited in the waiting room (hence, waiting room). He buried his face in his hands and cried. His best friend may likely be dead, all because of him. How can he make it better?
Nurse: Excuse me. *she walked over to Andrew* Are you a family member of Ms. Samantha Jacobs?
Andrew: Yes. *thinking* Pfft. Nope.
Nurse: Well, you may see her. She is still unconscious, but her cuts are bandaged.
Andrew: *wiping his tears* Thank you.
Nurse: *smiled sweetly* Your welcome. She is in room 29.

Andrew walked down to the room. He walked in, and Sam was laying there. She was hooked up to multiple machines. Her heart was beating, but ever so slowly. Andrew cautiously walked over to Sam;s side, and sat down in a chair.
Andrew: Hey Sam. It;s. . . it;s Andrew. I hope you can hear me. I just wanted to say, I;m sorry. *Looks at her bandages* I caused you to do this, didn;t I?

Then Mrs. Jacobs walked into the hospital room, and immediately started to cry.
Mrs. Jacobs: Andrew! Thank you so much for calling me! What happened!?
Andrew: *thinking* I can;t just tell her, her daughter cut herself because she couldn;t go out with me. That would NOT go over well. *out loud* I;m not sure. I came over to give Sam her purse, that she left in school. And I found her collapsed on the floor.

The next couple hours went by in a whirlwind. Eventually, it was about 10:30, and Andrew had to go home. The guilt was killing him, it was tearing him apart.
Andrew: *laying on his bed, thinking* That girl loves me. Possibly more than Chrissy does. I like Sam, as a sister. . . But nothing more than that, right? I mean, back in September, (A.N: Remember how he felt in the first few chapters?) I kinda liked her. But that was before I started dating Chrissy. Although. Sam has a much better sense of humor than Chrissy. And she actually likes to play sports. And she is waayy nicer. Man, what am I doing being with Chrissy? I think, I think I;m with the wrong girl.
