Thanks for the video. On my version of VMWare (Version 1.0), the "accelerate 3d graphics" box is greyed out (its unclickable). How do you think I can enable it? Appreciate your response. Thanks.

is possible I DO IT on vmware workstation 6.2 there is a trick to make it work and by the way you can also boot up your current windows xp instalation directly to the virtual machine while runing linux as a host working on that right now soon will upload a video testing direct x into a virtual machine

Just wanted to follow up. I don't want to sound negative, if VMWare is really doing 3d acceleration.. that's amazing and I'll be ready to buy this when it comes out :) But.. it just seems odd we see a pre-rendered video from Quake rather than actual gameplay, no..?

If this is meant to demonstrate 3d accleration.. then why is none shown? The movie at the start of Quake 3 is pre-rendered (as far as I recall) and Kick off 2 looks so old I doubt it'd using 3d acceleration either. The only thing that seems to use acceleration here is the text on the Quake 3 menu, from what I recall.
