Bellingham Tea Party Tax Protest 2009

A rare event where Democrats, Libertarians, Republicans, Independents and the curious came together to protest,in the main, taxation without representation. Also, there were signs to "End the Fed" and to "Bring Back the Constitution." The crowd ranged from 1,500 people to,at the peak, over 3,500. (estimated). It is unfair to label the protestors as right-wing extremists or just disgruntled Republicans, because, really, this crowd was an eclectic one...just showing that the bailouts and CEO payouts are very unpopular. It is time for people to stop labeling and start thinking! And, of course, there were labels thrust upon the Vietnam War protestors,too. Let us come together and listen to one another...for a REAL CHANGE. Please.

Just to say: I am an Independent, so the wide range of protestors was refreshing...as in: no particular political group dominating, just folks upset about taxation without representatiion!
