Since the initial prototype, SurfaceDJ has been re-skinned and shown to Microsoft who praised the application and will demo it at their upcoming Surface Release Party. Who knew that having the ability to touch their music would be so fun?

teed7- You don't see it the same way as the creators are seeing it. This is about having fun and just messing around making it EZ for anyone to create music while still constantly changing things on the fly. This isant about becoming a DJ and making every thing Dj quality.

This doesn't sound repetitive at all! lol These guys need to look at a real laptop DJ's console, Ableton LIVE etc. This sample "throw it in the middle" idea is really far too basic, eDJ's need a massive amount of variability dropping 10 or 20 tracks in at a time, EQ / Effects access, sample preview, ... Basically this is a nice demo which doesn't address the really tough issues which the guys at NYU figured out 10 years ago.
