Test of a jet engine designed to burn carbon dioxide and magnesium
powder for a Mars airplane or flying rover. Wickman Spacecraft &
Propulsion Company performed this work as part of a NASA contract with
JPL in 1996. Engine ignites and comes up to idle speed before turbine
becomes clogged with carbon and engine shuts down. For more information go to: http://www.wickmanspacecraft.com/marsjet.html
