Adding weight to one blade is only part of the solution. The weight must be applied to the location along the length of the blade to match the opposing blade's center of gravity. Therefore, after you identify the lighter blade, place a pen/pencil on a flat surface and balance each blade individually to locate their center of gravity and mark it. Place the two blades side by side and use the center marks to determine which end of the blade gets the weight..

You can also use very fine sandpaper to remove material from the heavy blade, in this way you'll loose weight rather than adding it . I have been balancing airplane propellers like this for years.

What kind of problems does this address? Does it help with fishbowling?

if might help a small amount with fishbowling..but for the most part it reduced vibiration.

yes it matters..after you do it you will relize your heli fliying much better.
