@David315842 Well at least fewer characters get killed off in this version as far as I'm aware. That and at the time most fans were looking forward to this movie trilogy, despite the depressing theme of the anime, Zeta Gundam was quite popular back in the day.

@Salvysahagun I do indeed, but you see Lucus changed things so that his own ego would be satisfied with it, obviously we both know what film series we're talking about here. A New Translation was from my understanding, something that Tomino wanted to do to make Zeta Gundam less depressing then the TV show, Zeta was one of Tomino's most infamous depressing works with a LOT of characters getting killed off, (true to his kill em all tendencies) I don't think that's the case here with the movies.

@Salvysahagun One of the reasons for the new trilogy was to make it less depressing then the original TV anime version, back when Tomino had great difficulty in taking his happy pills, so to speak.
