Well, it is really starting to feel like Fall. The Autumn colors are at their peak. And is is a fun festival that knows how to kick off the fall season right. The Elis Cheesecake Festival is a great way to bring in autumn. On Saturday October 3 and Sunday October 4 in Chicago, Illinois at The Eli Cheesecake Corporate Headquarters and Cheesecake Factory in Chicago, Illinois, The 2009 Elis Cheesecake Festival was taking place. This festival is a true celebration of cheesecake, along with loads of activities for all ages. A Festivals festival if You will. Included at this festival was a wide variety of entertainment including bands, solo musicians, dancers, the verks. The festival featured two different stages, a main stage and a family stage. Also at the festival was a huge car show, featuring cars from just about every make and era. There was also fun activities for the kiddies. At this Cheesecake festival was a huge area featuring just dozens of fun and exciting games, and yes once again miniature golf. Another feature at the festival was a huge train display. Kids and adults alike could enjoy a simply huge train display with moving train engines and train cars, as well as a simply beautiful hand-crafted miniature town that those trains went around and around. Also kids had a chance to paint a Volkswagen. Kids could make detailed designs or paintings on the car or just golp paint on it. Either way it was a fun activity for the kids. Also there was plenty of delicioulso goodies including hamburgers, hotdogs, and roasted corn on the cob. There was even kettle Korn available and yes even beer to wash down your cheesecake with. Besides food vendors, there was a variety of organizations there to promote their cause, as well as a radio station. There was also a cooking demonstration tent and the highlight for this Elis Cheesecake Festival was the Jesse White Tumblers jumps over a huge giant cheesecake. Members of The tumbles effortless jump over a specially prepared jumbo cake, as well as wowing the crowd, with their regular awesome show. Of course there was tons of free samples of Cheesecake, cute little cups. And also of course guests could purchase all the cheesecake they wanted in The Eli Cheesecake store. Again this event happened right outside of Elis Cheesecakes Corporate headquarters and plant. There was also a living giant piece of cheesecake, that was available for pictures, as well as to mobbed by dozens of kids who to do not have the opportunity to see and visit with a giant piece of cheesecake. Proceeds from the festival go the New Horizon Center for Developmentally Disabled and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. So A fun time was has by all, happy autumn and once again happy Halloween.
