@mats1e The problem is not that it comes in the form of a piece of paper, the problem is that if the money is not backed by something (ie, the currency is not interchangeable with a specific commodity at a specific rate), then the government can print as many as they want since they're not liable to interchange it with a commodity. The more they print and spend, the less resources available to those who obtained their dollars by productive methods. When it's backed, its value is consistent.

I hope the video creator checks these comments, as I have a question. Is this board game in any way related to the OTHER board game called "Wealth of nations"? The old game was nothing to do with factories, labour etc, it was trading shares. The board was square, but had two lanes intersected, and each square was a country. You would buy shares from that country and try to collect all of that share. Great, great game, and one of my favourites. I'm guessing this game is nothing similar?

What do you think about the Loan / Banks strategy on the Geek? I personally think the loans are broken and have played using the 2 loan limit from container.
