you should really show us ur brush settings, cuz its pretty frustrating to have to experiment to find out exactly what you are using

@warhawk009 your problem with the round brushes might be the cause of the opacity of the brush, if it is very low % of opacity it will tend to overlap, the lower opacity greats a more bold look, with slight overlap. not sure, im still new wiht this whole thing, but i had the same problem as you! but this helped me :)
good luck

@warhawk009 try editing your brushes, especially the roundness and the spacing of it

@warhawk009 try playing around with the brush settings. Opacity is fun, as you can see in the video it make each successive "brush stroke" add to the previous strokes - much like water colour painting. The more opacity (see through), the less "paint" applied with each stroke. This increases your control and can help you become confident. Opacity works from "0" to "100" with "0" being completely see through (nothing happens when you brush) and "100" having no transparency at all. Good Luck!

@warhawk009 Also for the blend thing. try using "other dynamics" with opacity control set to pen pressure. Lemme know if that helps.

@warhawk009 I had the same problem earlier until I realized something. And this will help you too if you are working in photoshop. Expand you brush panel and check the options under "brush tip shape". Surely you have spacing in your brush. That's default of photoshop. Reducing spacing to minimum will definitely take care of your prob :3

@warhawk009 he has his opacity on his brush lowered looks about 10-20 % of black and to get that bleed effect stroke again. do you use a tablet?
I cant say this tutorial taught me hardly anything at all. Trying to recreate the image has been really frustrating as none of my brushes seem to be as smooth as his. All of my round brushes are making circles inside of circles and they are not blending like they do in the tutorial.
