Yes, it IS a Scottish accent. He's from Elgin in Moray, Scotland. (And I should know, I'm Scottish!) All the same I confess I was SPEECHLESS to discover he is actually a Scot! (Because I HATE "Trainspotting", I never actually watched it past the first ten minutes, so I didn't know...)
