The show Jane by Design is basically the creation of someone who was a little obsessed with Pretty In Pink! The main character even turns one pink dress into a better dress and the dance she goes to with her best friend has her best friend dressed in a more punk version of dukie's at the prom - can't watch the show without wanting to watch this movie LOL

The fact that she still chose Blaine, even after that performance, showed that there was a deep flaw in her character, and that someone as awesome as Duckie could do so much better.
