@lelandjonas It wasn't really all Gene's fault... It was sold to the whole band as "Star Wars" meets "A Hard Days Night" so of course they all thought that it'd be a good idea and they didn't realise that it was a spoof until it was too late...

When you are nine years old, something with KISS and Magic Mountain was the biggest $#+.. Of course, it is the S#!+ literally, but at the time, strictly speaking in television event terms only, this was for kids what ROOTS was for adults. It appealed to our Scooby Doo / Sid & Marty Krofft roots.

this was a terrible idea for the band, i know gene says he dont drink or smoke but i dont understand what he was on to make him think this was good for their career.
