A real turd of an airplane. Always broken, loud in the cockpit and in the rear cabin, and a terrible air conditioning system. If you are riding on an F-100 anytime from March to October, plan to sweat.
I worked on many of them . The pilots said it hand flied like a dream and the Tay engines twice as fuel efficient as CFM 56's on our 737 fleet from an operating perspective . Quirky avionics ( could have been worked out) and APU temps a bit high. I worked Boeing BBJ' wondering all the while why the grounded F100's werent revamped and used in roles of biz jets. The airframe was old but completely redisigned using metal bonding tech . Sad to see Fokker gone, the oldest mass producer of aircraft.
