  • Man, thanks for this video, really helped me out. But i have really problem when i start modeling. The image planes are not really line it up, and for example, when i try to model a car from the side view, and when i want to switch, let's say in the front view, all my curve modeling are not on the car, but they are above the car, and when i take them and put it on the car, now the side view is mess up. What shall i do :(

  • @Bakachuify I'm glad it helpt u. Actually car blueprints ar quite incorrect by themself usually Front and Back blueprints. but if the offset is too big, then my option would be create poly cube and align/scale/move its vertecies to match ONLY SIDE and TOP view (idea is to create bounding box for car) and then go to Front view, unreference your Display Layer for blueprints and select front pPlane and move it around to match your cars poly bounding box. I hope u could understand.

Not really sure, if i understood you well. But i will try. If you have time, i would like to see, tutorial for modeling car. Does only car are incorrect? What about, ships, Motorcycles, planes.

  • @Bakachuify I have noticed only in car blueprints, but in my case they have very small incorrections, and you have to relay moastly on your reference images -photos of that car.

btw, if you did everything like I showed in this tutorial, than you should be ready to model. Maybie you missed something. Yes I have few modeling tutorials in mind.

  • Thanks for the response. I have one more question. How to set up camera in Maya for the back side of the car? I have side, front and top view. How to set up and see the back side, when modeling?

  • @Bo3082 I just created short vid tut for you to answer your question. Check Maya back camera creation tip video in my chanel.

Thanks man, that makes sense:D How can i fix it when my images are not very line up each other. I always end up with very funny weird model.

  • @Bo3082 Those are easy to divade. You can use larger PS document size if u need. Just keep in mind - front & back view has to be half the size from side/top view. And IMPORTANT -keep them square. For example if u make larger PS document like 2048x2048 for the side/top view, than remember for the front & back view PS document size will be 1024x1024. And in Maya, that 30 is just random number. Only one thing important is to keep size ratio between PS and Maya. Hope it helped.

  • I really need some help here. Why when you made a new documents in PS, you made them 1024 with 1024? And in the Maya, you made the poly plane in size of 30?

  • @Xemptuous Hi, just press 6 on your keyboard.(textured viewport mode) Sorry for not showing that in menus.
