This is not jazz, but it is interesting how many folk forms in the Balkans have many similarities to jazz--- especially the clarinet styles, using a much broader pallet of timbres and nuances than "classical". Perry is the supreme exponent of these clarinet characteristics in the west.

It is Balkan Jazz - What is Jazz? Improvisation? Some define it so - There is plenty of that here. Jazz is a very wide term that can describe many types of music. I personally define it as music with certain improvisations. This group clearly fits that definition.
