This movie did not show how remarkable and amazing Halim was .. Halim in real life was a extremely polite giving person and very very friendly and intelligant while temovie did not show that ..It is still a very good movie .. Ahmad Zaky played highly well .

@cphsermad Actually story wise it is very good the only thing that ruined this movie is because film producers are very poor in the middle east, they dont have the same technology as in the west and America. Hopefully somebody in the near future will make a remake of this movie with actors who actually can sing, and somehow imitate Halims voice (even though its hard). Ahmed Zaki was great, but he cant sing and that ruined the whole movie cause they needed Halims tape recordings to back him up.

In every nation there is one singer who has affected the whole nation from the old to the young. In France, there was a movie about Edith Piaff that was in the same canne festival and the french were very excited about this famous singer. We celebrated with the movie Halim our famous arabic singer who has influenced generations by his voice. Halim life was very painful and short and we celebrate it just like they celebrate Edith Piaff in France.
