Being a member of BEHS & helping with transporting & assisting with the seizures is the best thing I have ever done in my life!!! Please help us to help more horses like the ones seen in this video. We need foster homes & adopters very badly. Please visit our site (listed under the video) to see how you can help!!! Thank you!!!

Hi, I have a really underweight and malnourished looking TB who has been on very bad land. What feeding programme did you put these horses on?? What did you feed them?? Look forward to hearing from you :-)

Aw my little Gypsi is in here! (she was known as Kandi) she was so sad when she first came in i remember working with her but now she is as fat as can be love the rescue babies!
Hi, so sorry for the delayed answer. I'd suggest you have your vet check you horse to be sure the teeth are okay. If that's good, then feed a good quality food, such as Total Equine, Thrive, Equine Senior, etc, according to package directions. If your horse hasn't had grain/pellets till now, go slowly. Be sure to offer plenty of high quality hay around the clock. I would also, once at a good weight, do a thorough worming. If this doesn't help, I'd get further evaluation from your vet. Good Luck

While it's heartbreaking to find horses in emaciated conditions like these, it is also very gratifying to bring them back to their natural beauty and robust health. We do have a process where these horses are adopted by approved homes in Texas and Arkansas. Thank you for your blessings and comments!

Hi Debby1111,Without knowing more about your appy, or what you've already tried, I can only suggest having your vet evaluate his condition and then follow his recommendations. Have you had his teeth checked/floated? As to a worming program...if his belly looks bloated (worms) that could be a reason to not gain weight. If he has missing teeth and can't chew, you may need to switch to a mash diet. I would consult my vet first.Good luck with him, and let me know what progress you make with him!
