空を見ると、
いろいろなひとびとのことを思う
星たちは、それぞれ異なる光を発しながらも、
みなおなじように、
遠いところからわたしたちに届く
そしてこの地球は、
さまざまの光を送っているが、
遠いところからはどのように見えるだろう
ひとびとは、だれも、
繊細で優しい光を生きる
わたしたちはみな、ともに輝き、
鮮かな人生の織物を織る
ばら色の玉がひとつ、宇宙を走り、
触れるものすべてをあたためる
どこへ 行こうとも、
その玉は虹のように半円の軌跡を残す
わたしたちの物語を語るのは、宇宙に残された、
いろいろの色の足跡


When I look at the sky,
I am reminded of all of the different kinds of people.
Stars shining various colors of light
From very far away
All reach us at the same time.
I wonder what this planet must look like from a distance,
All of the colors shining outward.
Every person lives a delicate, tender light.
We shine together, weaving a brilliant tapestry.
A rose-colored orb hurtles through space,
Warming whatever it touches.
Wherever it goes,
A rainbow arc cuts a path behind it,
Our stories are told by the colored trails left in space.
