He couldn't have just let go at that moment with his momentum or else he would have fallen flat on his back. @MichaelCastian Well first off the play was horseshit being up that many the first guy should have just dunked it but I am talking about what Nate it and yes he pulled himself up and his feet all the way to the bottom on the board which is a T.There was no need to do it in the open court and it was the right call.Now no where in any rule book does it say you can't disagree with an official,so that IS at the ref's discretion of when he has had enuff.Some are quick with a T and some are not.

@chitownref It's not about hanging on the rim or doing a chin up (which he didn't do). They were getting all butthurt over it being an off the glass pass. Listen to the commentators: "You're up by this many, you don't make that play." Why not? You think it's right for a team to stop playing and just go to sleep because they have a huge lead? And if officials don't pick and choose what techs they call then why doesn't Kobe get tossed from every game because he jaws at the refs after every call?

The officials have no choice but to call it.
