Great talk on amps and guitars. two and three on my list of favorite subjects. Tatoos are my number four favorite. Maybe you can talk about them sometime

My amp tech told me tubes don't warm up while on standby. Now I always leave my amp 40 minutes on before I start recording and I can see the difference.

Mr. S. Jim,
I watch your demo over and over. It never gets old!

Gretsches and almost all other guitars should only be plugged into a JTM45 :D

Great sound! What are your settings on the liveamp? It has a nice breakup are there really no pedals involved?

Thank you for the kind words! Live, if Im using the 1970 Twin without a Master Volume knob, I do run a Fulltone 2 with just a small amount of gain on it. WIth the 1976 Twin, I crank my channel volume and adjust the overall level with the master volume. Some folks do the opposite (crank the master, level with the channel), really personal preference. Also, if Im running an Echoplex live for slapback, that adds a good 30% to the overall gain sound...

@Groove1993 Hey how are you! I think my 1970 was around $1000. I had to get the speakers redone, and the tubes as well, so around $1800 all together if I remember correctly.
