Binary Fire Report released Nine News June 2006

ABC News report about the Queensland Government releasing the Binary Industries Fire Report where the State Government make claims that there was no toxic impact on the health and amenity of the local residents.

This report has been disupted by the community and a range of professionals who maintain that it is impossible to have a chemical fire on this scale with the groups of toxins present and have in effect on the health of people in the nearby communities.

When reading the government reports on this facility it must be kept in mind that the owners are embedded in the Queensland Labor Party as either Members of Parliament, Campaign Managers or straight Party members and the facility was officially opened in 2001 by the former Premier Peter Beattie who never declared any conflict of interest at any point in time despite the facility being half-owned by the family trust of one of his Members of Parliament.
