Bumblebee being able to talk would've been better, instead of that whole Herbie-esque bits.

Dude. Why hasn't anybody hired you as a film writer? The stuff you talk about like what would happen if Bumble Bee talked is brilliant. I'm telling you. If you were to write scripts for movies. You'd win rewards for best screenplay.

Cameron would've been a better choice. In fact he's a better example than Nolan. Though I am not a huge fan of Cameron either, I like the way he approaches the action movie better.

As for the book thing, they should've written in scenes from the novel since I assume they were written (or thought of) in conjunction in the early stages. Based on what I read, the book doesn't have a satisfying conclusion. The badguy is still alive and for a big blockbuster like this you can't really have that.
