  • I am having trouble with pro tools 9. I have a 003+ rack as well. Everything is connected and ready to go but I'm not getting playback and its not registering anything into pro tools. So frustrating. Can you help with setting up the interface to the computer to receive play back and so it registers instruments. Thanks

  • "LET'S PLUG THIS FIREWIRE CABLE INTO THE BACK OF PRO TOOLS" HA HA

  • I HAVE A ROLAND JUNO DI AND AKAI PROFESSIONAL XR 20. IM USING PROTOOLS LE 8 WITH AVID M BOX MINI. MY M BOX DOES NOT HAVE MIDI INPUTS SO I HAVE MIDI TO USB STRAIGHT TO MY MAC. THE PROBLEM IS, HOW CAN I USE THE INSTRUMENTS INSIDE MY PIANO AND AKAI. AND WHAT TRACKS DO I USE TO RECORD THEM?

  • @thelocust64 You have to return it. No firewire ports, no firewire devices. A hub won't change this.

  • Some things are not quite correct. AIFF and BWF(WAV) are very similar (PCM) and have both cd quality. Usually WAV is the right choice, because of the higher compatibility. The sample rate has indeed nothing to do with headroom, if anything that would be the bitrate. The sample rate is the resolution on the time axis. Usually for music and stuff 44.1k is the right choice, as Audio CDs and MP3s always have this rate (and 16bits). 48k is used by Video DVDs. You won't hear any difference anyway.

  • @diddlybilt cool thamks!

  • @diddlybilt thank you man :")
