Hitler's Directive 51 was NOT about taking control of the nation by force, but rather a plan to defend an invasion from the West in 1943. Whoever is making this comparison failed to do their research.

Calm down everyone. The president doesn't need to declare himself dictator because our system is already like Mexico's in this sense: We have two parties controlled by the same corporate interests with little to no participation from the people. A scenario like this would only happen if someone actually decided to promote progressive ideas and threatened the ruling interests, like what happened in Honduras recently.
