- NO INNOCENT VICTIM Returns -

This BANDS ON FIRE Video Special presents you the official announcement of No Innocent Victim coming back to reform as a band after their split in 2002. The video features the band's live announcement at Cornerstone Festival 2004 to record a new album, which meanwhile has seen its release with "To Burn Again"!

The recording is sort of a "bring-home-goodie" from my personal trip to the Cornerstone Festival, USA in 2004. The show was a surprise appearance after Seventh Star's set at the Rock For Life stage and had NIV playing the songs "C.E.B.", "My Beliefs" and "Never Face Defeat" - the whole thing was filmed with my video camera by Evan White (former guitar player of As I Lay Dying).

At the beginning the tent was completely dark with no lights on and Jason Moody started NIV's return-set - which at this time wasn't yet known for the people being there to be the bands return-set - by proclaiming boldly the words "United. United By Christ. United." in repeated form. The crowd followed shouting along with Jason Moody intensively. (You will see the Bands On Fire "Sanctus" logo during the "United" part instead of any people because there weren't yet any lights on!) Right after the second song "My Beliefs" singer Jason Moody talks about NIV's motivation to return as a band and their message regarding the Christian hardcore scene. You will notice the power his words had in this moment. It really was a very intense moment for everybody being there. If you can't understand what he's saying at first I recommend to play it over again until you do!

After watching the video make sure to let other people, who might also be interested to see it, know about it! As my friend Doug Van Pelt of HM Magazine put it after watching the video: "This rules. I love it!"

Well returning that same rhetoric, atheism/agnosticism is for faggatrons.There's nothing wrong with believing in a doctrine that teaches love, compassion, and selflessness. Sure, some of the people who claim to believe in Christianity might be hiding behind the title or might stray from the path, but the same goes for everyother person in this world. There's nothing wrong with living your life for an actual purpose, and not just to please yourself.

the whole christian rock christian metal core scene started with a purpose to spread the love of Christ in a postive way. music can have a strong power over a person so coming from a musician and christian, I feel we need to pray for the christian bands today a lot of the older bands P.O.D, Five iron frenzy (R.I.P) and the rest of the bands from the post hardcore days of 2000-2002 we need to pray for cornerstone, creation fest, all the christian rock scene in general.
