Part 2. Focusing on transcription and mutations. The process of transcription is how DNA is converted into mRNA. In my opinion the process is far more complicated than that of translation. The main points of interest is activation of translation is not a simple process and requires a number of complimentary activities ranging from activators and enhancers to chromatin unfolding. An understanding of how these complex all interact allows for a greater application and appreciation of how mutations (such as SNPs) can alter the level of a gene product without altering the genetic information in the gene. This video is still only a basic presentation of the processes but I hope it will go some way to dispel the notion that mutation always have a negative affect or a direct affect on the genotype or phenotype.
@spark300c Thank you spark, I feel that the topic is rather complicated and think the best way to explain it is by stating the fact as dry as possible. It is my opinion that religious people have been misinformed but they are not idiots or stupid (for the majority of the time!).

I like your text book style. Often times people who argue for evolution get to emotional. For example donexdous2. His feeling that creationist are stupid are clear expressed in his vids. For cdk007 I ways feel he not telling me the whole story or gvies to little info. I remember in one vid. That cell population went under some change. The how the experiment was done was not given and cells look a lot like yeast.
