He is amazing. African Grey's are so intelligent, and their vocalization is so human it is unreal. This is the next bird I intend to buy.

They are very intelligent - but they're not all guaranteed to talk as well as Ty. Buy a parrot that best suits your life style. Don't base your decision on whether or not it talks. You may get one that doesn't speak at all for one reason or another. If you're not at home a whole lot - a kitty might be a better option. They need A LOT of attention. Ty is like a kid. I love him to pieces, but he drives me nuts some times! Good luck!

Ty is so clever. I'm surprised that he doesn't sound more like you. He clearly imitates what you say, but he has his own little voice, doesn't he? Jabba doesn't have a voice of his won. Everything he says is in someone else's voice. I wonder what he would sound like if he was more like Ty.

BTW, next time you do a video of Ty (and I hope there are more), could you please get a full shot of his playground? It looks amazing. Did you make it, or buy it? I'd love to have one for my greys......

Yes, adopt a parrot, but don't make the talking bit important. Some parrots never mimic anything. But they all love to LOVE. If your parrot learns to "say" or sing something, enjoy the bonus!

Talking. barking, whistling; they can make just any sound they want. Greys are so intelligent, stubborn and adorable. I had one.
