@Michael4ster Just remember- almost half of table tennis' existence has be played with pips.

Those that are complaining about long pips do not know how to play against long pips. They usually lose to pips because of a lack of experience and patience. If you're under 2200 and plan on bashing Oliver; just remember- he has beaten people at and above his level; if you're going to talk trash, at least be rated at or above him- because if you're not, he can probably mop the floor with you.

@grandsportc3 Ok but it dosent demish the fact that a player who is not very good can put long pips on and suddenly beat good players even though they are not good at the game. I dont think players that are 2000 or above are immune to being decieved.

if you are 2 retarded to play, you start using long pimples like that.
ask werner schlager :P

Instead of bitching guys why not check out their ratings on usatt. He's telling the truth about his ratings and Kit's. He has an ugly style of play, but he is at that rating. It's not hard to get to that rating with the proper training. Anyone with an unorthodox style of play will be able to get to above 2000 even as high as 2300, but that doesn't mean he's an exceptional player just someone who understand the game.

Ye, these are really awful..
Well, strategy, placement, and control are just as important in an inverted game plus athletisicsm and great strokes and footwork and hard work. But basically you just use confusion to beat your oponents, anyone can just pick up long pimples and start confusing your opponent and beat someone alot better than you. Sorry it's lame and should be illegal.

@Michael4ster above 2000 level, you'll find very few players who are confused on what pips do.
You can't fool a let's say 2100 player just by using a long pips rubber...

someone please tell me why something as lame as long pips are legal. it takes no skill to get to 2200 with long pips obviously.

@Michael4ster I'm actually 2285 right now... Playing with long pips takes just as much skill than with inverted rubber, just different skills.. While strokes and athleticism are more important for a offensive inverted game, strategy, placement and control are more important when playing with pips.
