This video shows the spark gap for the primary coil on a Tesla coil. The coil is drivin useing a PWM circuit consuming 25 volts @ .5 amps.
The PWM is connected to a high voltage capacitor in parallel with the spark gap.

  • What's your setup. I wish more people would explain their setup.

  • Its just a simple PWM with 2 NE555 timers and a FET. The output from that is hooked up to a DC high voltage transformer with a 10,000 volt capacitor in parallel. Nothing special.

  • @NRGFromTheVacuum Does the FET type transistors allow higher voltages to pass through them than 5v?
