Good track, and yes, the verse melody sounds a little like Knife Edge's. The issue I have is that these contemporary aor groups are happy to fall back on the 80's instead of discover a new aor sound for their own time.
By all means be inspired by the past, but remember the goal is to tread a new path and go your own way. It's what our aor forefathers would want.
