this was beautiful! i did some research and according to allmusic, you can find both the monkees version and the studio version on a tim buckley anthology, called "morning glory." it's on disc 2. you can get it on amazon new or used. yeah!

That's the first time I have ever heard that song... WOW. I'm seriously spellbound by that song! It was beautiful and his voice was incredible. Please tell me the LP version is up to this standard? PLEASE! lol.

It's just one man's voice with an acoustic guitar accompanying him but this performance is simply amazing! Tim's voice was just so lovely and soothing here and the song lyrics are just so beautiful and poetic that I honestly was brought to tears listening to it the first time. Sorry if I seem to be gushing a bit too much over this song and Tim Buckley in general, but I just think he was one of the best singer/songwriters of all time! R.I.P Tim Buckley and you too Jeff.

The album version...it does nothing for me. I almost dislike it. I also don't like any covers I've heard of this song. But this version, WOW! Just a 12 string guitar and a brilliant voice. I must have watched this video 100 times by now.
