If God is of infinite value, splendor, and beauty, then it follows that the most valuable, most splendid, and most beautiful gift He could ever give to His creatures is

the fullest revelation of Himself.

I bet he would tell those kind of pastors to sit down & shut up! I'd pay to see it!

Some pastors seem to just give motivational speeches--like they think it's their job to make sure everything's hunky-dory & nobody ever feels bad...like the advisors of Nebuchadnezzar, and "Peace, peace--when there is no peace." (Jeremiah 8:11)

Only reason I would ever want to be rich is to buy the TBN network, kick people, off & put Washer on.

But I'm poor right now, so nobody get excited. ;(

Paul Washer, if people need a preacher, what if he is a Jim Jones type? Don't you think it an unwise statement to say that instead of seeking God's word for truth folk should run after, priestly type, religious men. Thoise who are more weight down with dogma and tradition and unable to speak and set forth the sound words of truth.

@matte5299 Where in the world do you come up with this "Jesus died for your sins" stuff? The evidence for Jesus would not hold up in a court of law and the scriptures don't even have original copies (unless you count the partly legible copies the monks made over the centuries). I fear you are on the way to breaking society into greater division and bitter arguments, rather than unity under love.

I disagree, we are too quick to compare the ministry before the scriptures to the ministry after the scriptures were canonized. We don't need a show of miracles or tongues or dead men rising, just preach the Word. If the brethren would get together and just read the scriptures before the assembly, it would cause the believer to grow stronger and wiser and the unbeliever would leave the church. Too many things are keeping the tares mixed with the wheat and its certainly not the Word.
