Also, why then, if music is haram, is there music being played in this video? Again, NOT TROLLING. I am genuinely asking with the intention of having an open conversation on the topic.

I'm not trollin', just asking a question. An honest question here. Why exactly is music, not "certain forms of" music, but literally, all music, haram? Why specifically? Even if music is used to praise Allah or teach good morals or even aid in learning the Qur'an, why is that still seen as evil? Is it not the music itself, but the kind of person or purpose for which the music is used? It seems a bit controlling. Why does Allah not allow for hobbies or talents outside of recitation of the Qur'an?
