Bozo the Clown Record Player - "Dixie" 78 RPM -Record Guild of America Records 1948

Hey YouTubers. Sharing one of my 1st record players I found when I started collecting record players. Really neat looking player! I believe it's late 40's or early 50's. Electric, but is acoustic sound. Very hard on 78's! :-) Enjoy! Play a record today!

LOVE IT, i would have bought that player if it came up for sale, do you change the needle often, it has to be changed after every 2 plays or so and when i played one of these records on my gramophone i found bits of the record left on the needle so i dont think they are meant for these acoustic players, or ones like this, this is probably made for the normal kind of 78rpm records

@kirtley2010 I change the needle after every play. This is too is really a victrola. The 50s plastic records are really not meant for victrolas. They're for the 50s/60s players that have 78 needles and lighter tone arms. So glad you're enjoying my vintage players. I LOVE sharing them!!

here in chicago bozo was a much beloved tv show for close to 50 years.

i am creeped out by every other clown but for some reason i loved bozo?
