I just got diagnosed with Lyme. It's going to be a long haul for me, but I wanted to share the journey and help increase awareness.

This is the great pretender disease, and often mimics other diseases, especially arthritis and multiple sclerosis. Many late stage patients were being treated for MS for years before they got a Lyme diagnosis and at that point, it's just treating it to live, not conquering the disease.

  • So you are working with a Lyme Specialist now? God is Glorious.

  • I just found him this morning and he's only 12 miles away! That's close enough that I can drive it except on the worst days when I can't drive at all, due to pain and inability to focus.

  • I use to suffer great pain in my knees and legs, in bondage a lot and the doctors never found the cause after many tests. One Sunday I took some olive oil I bought for cooking, bless it, then rubbed my right knee I believe while I said a brief prayer. Immediately my knee which was hurting burned like fire. I was shock & thought chilli was in the oil but check and it was pure olive oil. I shock my knee in shock, pray again and the pain went. This knee was healed, through testing my faith in God!

  • Hello VK,

I will keep you in my prayers. I have had a lot of physical pain in my life and there were times I wanted to be home with the Lord.

I know that through my experience that God showed me to have mercy towards others who are in similar situations. It is easy to be spiritual when all is good but it is tough when our lifes are in shambles.

    Peace and Blessings,

  • I will be following this series sis- thanks for all you do and i am wondering about the insect bite- maybe it transmitted it? Oh VK Kitty- will be praying for you! Agape from Canada sis- Rebecca

  • Love you girlie! Sorry I haven't been around here.....I just haven't been in the YT mood much these days. Call me if you need anything my sweet pea! Big hugs!

  • It's good to know the truth, VK, even when it's not a happy truth.

I wish you well, and hope your treatment will help you.

  • Please know you're in my prayers. Lyme is a nasty bugger. I'm glad you managed to get a doctor who is familiar with it as early as you did. I wish you every success in your treatment.

On the insurance end, there are some clinical trials out that will provide you with the antibiotics for free. Most of the actual studies involve tests rather than novel drugs. You might look into that as a way to bypass the insurance issue.

  • And I agree, there needs to be more research on Lyme.
