This is an earlier 86. Later in the year chevy started putting a new speedometer in it that went up to 140 mph, or something like that. I forgot exactly how high it went, and I don't feel like going outside to my camaro to check :P

I got a 1986 camaro for my 17th b-day in 1997. It had 2.8 multi-port fi v-6. My dad bought it ftom hertz rent-a-car and it had 14,000 miles on it. I sold it to a used car dealer in 1993 and it had 131,000 miles on it and never had any problems other than alternator and starter which can be expected with any vehicle. That car is still running around the small town I grew up in. I would love to know the mileage on it now. Great car!

Dude my first car was is an 88 2.8 camaro.
Ive put a few mods in it and I strongly suggest it to you.
It make the car preform much better =)

I had the excact same car. Sold it in NJ in 1990. Same pinstripe and all! Bought it from June Chevrolet in NJ. Wondering if it's the same car...?? By the way, I love that you kept it stock. Take good care of her.
