How stupid! The sun goes through seasons of increased/decreased solar flare activity that affects our temperatures. Some scientists have observed that the solar activity is headed for a downswing now, which will mean colder temps than we've had. Don't worry about the glaciers; worry about the people who don't have adequate heating for these colder temperatures!

Sure is going to melt at a lower rate but is going to melt anyway because the heat is going to transfer through the material to the ice. So, it's not worth it. There´s gotta be more efficient ways to stop the global warming.

to be fair ive looked and u mite be rite about the falling thing. But anyway, your question at the end is the real question about global warming. Can we change the earths climate even just temporarily. Are we arrogant for thinking we're so great that we can? Or are we ignorant for thinking just because of size and age we cant? Personally my oppinion is the latter but everyone has to make up their own mind - this show explores that question.

No - I mean FALL. This is fact, whether you believe or not Now you are proposing we ALTER the natural state to save humans? Seriously? You honestly think that ANYTHING humans do will alter the path of nature? Bringing a few species to extinction by hunting is a far cry from altering the global climate patterns. rise you mean...and acctually i agree with Rowan....It is true that temperatures have changed drastically (as much as they are now) before the existance of humans, but people use this fact as an excuse to overlook the problem. Just because it happens naturally anyway does that mean we shouldnt do anything to stop it or slow it down? Or are you gonna just say let us die out without a fight.
