@Tardisgirlfrance "The Android Invasion" DVD will be released in 2012, along with two other "Sarah Jane era" DVD's, "Death to the Daleks", and "Terror of the Zygons". The final unreleased Classic Who "Sarah Jane" era story from the Pertwee years "Invasion of the Dinosaurs" will be released in 2013.
@hombrerelents I'm with you on that one. Yes, the Daleks and the Silurians came back in Series 5, but the Daleks will be absent from series 6 (phew!) and the Silurians were used because they could be put to good use, rather than what RTD did which was cram in Daleks and Cybermen just for the sake of it (see the awful Manhattan two parter and their violation of the cybermen for evidence of this). And don't get me started on Lee Evans for stunt casting.
@sebbrown1 This show was never meant for the casual viewer. Thats why the airwaves are plagued with reality tv shows now. They require zero brainpower to watch.
@sebbrown1 Davies was closer to JNT in terms of production style i.e stunt casting and the ridiculous overuse of old monsters.
How did Moffat pander directly to fans when the show was as watched as it has ever been, and the AIs consistently high?It might have lost a few RTD fanboys and those who don't like the 'smarter', more cerebral style of the show, but those ex-viewers have evidently been replaced by people who do like it.
The show has moved on.Time to stop crying about it.

If you want to go into a timewarp yourself ,visit the spot where the Doctor was tied up.on the stone cross.
The village is East Hagborne near Didcot ,Oxon. It's totally unchanged apart from the phone box which I suspect was a prop!!!
